Podcasts get me through the rough days. Every time I turn on one of my favorite podcasts, it feels like a juicy TV show or book, but better. Podcasts get me through long bus rides and keep me company while traveling. They also make me feel less of an outcast, less crazy for my instinctual thoughts and ideas. These podcasts put me in a good mood and make me an overall happier person, so I thought I’d share.

Just for Fun Podcasts
The podcasts I listen to for pure leisure.
The Goop Podcast
The Goop Podcast is an extension of the Goop Lab Netflix docu-series (if you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend binge-watching ASAP!) Gwyneth Paltrow and Elise Loehnen interview free-thinkers, industry disrupters, and “out-of-the-box” beings. It’s thought-provoking and eye-opening. I love it!
Favorite episode: What Do We Need to Heal?
Dax Shepard chats with celebrities about vulnerable topics. I love him for his imperfection and realness.

The Sexually Liberated Woman by Ev’Yan Whitney
Ev’Yan Whitney is captivating. I miss my train stops because of Ev’Yan. She’s an incredible feminist queer woman who writes, podcasts and helps women own their sexuality and sexual self. *raises fist in the air*

Food Heals Nation by Allison Melody
Allison Melody has a passion for holistic medicine. Allison lost both of her parents to cancer at a young age. Soon after, she discovered natural health and her life changed forever. She has dedicated her life to spreading the gift of health. The episodes also touch on mental health, natural beauty tips, plant based living and spirituality.
Favorite episode: Vegan Voyage Around the World
Sex with Emily by Dr. Emily Morse
Emily is a sex and relationship expert and hosts one of the longest-running sex-related podcasts. Did any of you ever watch “Sex with Sue” growing up on late-night TV? I always watched Sue talk about sex so comfortably and I wondered why it was such a hidden, secretive topic. Emily is a modern-day version of Sue.
Emily’s goal is to make the taboo topic of sex and relationships an accessible, approachable topic. Let me tell you, I am never bored while listening to Emily. She interviews interesting people, answers honest e-mails, and talks about important topics.
Favorite episode: No Shame, Just Sex
Bonus: A few more…
A few more I love because I love you.
- Dirty John (crime)
- Serial (crime)
- Ear Hustle (crime)
- Stuff You Should Know
- Sex, Death, and Money
There are a lot of great motivational podcasts for entrepreneurs out there. Personally, I am super picky about my “business/motivation” podcasts. If I smell an ounce of fakeness, I turn it off. I know building a business is hard, I need my podcast mentors to be transparent and real AF. Or I can’t listen.
Screw the Nine to Five
This is my favorite podcast of all time. It’s the podcast I go to when I need a kick in the pants. Jill and Josh Stanton interview entrepreneurs on several different topics so that you can create an impactful business. Their mission is to inspire you to live a life on your own terms (and to screw the 9-5!!)
How I Built This
On How I Built This, Guy Raz interviews entrepreneurs on their journey to “making it.” This podcast is in my top 3 simply because I love Guy Raz. He’s an incredible interviewer and he interviews dope entrepreneurs.

Perfect podcast for simple, actionable advice for Pinterest. I listen to this once in a while for inspiration (not an at-time fav).
Favorite episode: Fresh Pins on Pinterest: Creating a Strategy
Unfortunately, this podcast doesn’t have any new episodes BUT there are tons of old, valuable episodes. Pro Blogger is the first blogging podcast I listened to. It’s my all-time fav, so I had to include it even though there aren’t new episodes.
