Where’s Your Next Trip? (September Update)

Girl, you tell me. Tell me where to go and I’ll be there. Book my flights, sign the visa papers and I’ll start my life in South Africa or wherever you send my ass. I’m ready.

I recently (yesterday) surveyed my Instagram followers and said “ask me anything. ANYTHING!” Most of you asked “Where’s your next trip?” or “When’s your next trip?” So, here we are.

Short answer: I don’t know. HALP.

Long answer: (keep reading)

Truth is I had a ticket to go to an event called Traverse located in Palma De Mallorca, Spain this November. My plan was to leave Chicago (indefinitely) starting in Spain. By plan I mean I had no plan besides the 3-day event (lol). The event has since been postponed and with everything that’s going on, I’ve decided to stay in Chicago until things calm down.

I went to a psychic medium a little over a week ago. She told me to hike El Camino starting in Germany. First of all, I didn’t even know El Camino trail extended into Germany. Thank you, psychic. Secondly, sure. Maybe I’ll do that?

After 3 years of #coupletravel, it feels weird to have complete freedom over my travels. There are so many choices, but luckily there’s no wrong answer.

Anyways, since I have little to no idea where or when my next adventure will be, I thought I’d leave it up to you.

Here are some options:

~Possible Next Trips~

Hike The Camino

El Camino de Santiago is a famous pilgrimage through Europe with multiple routes in Germany, Poland, Spain, Portugal, and France. May lead to funny blog posts, a novel and/or epic fails. I also may complain the entire time.

Buy a Van and Drive Across The US

Let’s say the US gets banned from the world and the American passport becomes useless. (Not so far fetched.)

Option 2: I buy a cute retro van and drive solo around the US for 20 years.

Note: I don’t want to build or design it and I don’t want to fix anything or have car problems.

Bali (need I say more?)

Fly to Bali, find a home and take instaworthy photos until further notice.

Fly to Mexico

Take the cheapest flight to Mexico and figure things out upon arrival. Si o no?

Backpack Southeast Asia for a year

This was the pre-pandemic plan for 2020. Still sounds like a good idea. Thoughts?

Go back to Cali, Colombia and become a professional salsa dancer (doable, yeah?)

I’m going to do this eventually regardless of the vote and my skill level.

Trek the PCT like Cheryl Strayed (then also write a best-selling novel turned movie)

CC: Cheryl Strayed

The Pacific Crest Trail is about 2,650 miles long stretched across California, Oregon, and Washington. Google says it takes 5 months to hike, knowing myself it would take me much longer.

Fly to the Amazon rainforest and live among wild monkeys

Self-explanatory.

Join a safari volunteer program, lead safari tours, and make life-long wild animal friends

Yes.

If all else fails: move to Canada (seems like the smart thing to do, eh?)

I hope you enjoyed my professional photoshop skills. Where should my next trip be (2021)? *let me know in the comments*

xoxo,

confused Court
