The BEST Pinterest Course for Bloggers

I finished up Slaying Social’s Pinterest course and I swear I did not want it to end. The course is informative and engaging. It opened my eyes to the possibilities of Pinterest and gave me more knowledge than I ever had expected.

Keep reading to find out if Slaying Social’s Pinterest Traffic course is right for you and how it has changed the game for me.

What’s included in the course?

There are 7 modules + bonus module + printable workbook. After each module, there is homework to implement what you just learned. I loved the instant implementation. There is a lot of information (possibly all-new), so I loved that she laid out what your next steps should be.

Here is a list of the modules:

  1. Introduction
  2. Setting the Foundations for Pinterest Success
  3. Optimizing Your Content for Pinterest
  4. Pinterest Engagement: What is it, and why does it matter?
  5. All About Group Boards
  6. How to Get a Pin to Go Viral
  7. Daily, Weekly, & Monthly: Your Pinterest To-Do Lists
  8. Bonus: Advanced Pinterest Strategy

Why every blogger NEEDS Pinterest

In short:

  • Brings traffic to your site
  • Pinterest reduces the number of steps from discovery to conversion
  • People on Pinterest engage more
  • Pinterest is the second-best source of referral traffic (second to Google)
  • Content on Pinterest lives longer

Before taking this course, I thought Pinterest was useful. After taking this course I realized Pinterest is a crucial part of bringing traffic to your blog.

My thoughts during the course: I’VE BEEN WASTING SO MUCH TIME ON INSTAGRAM when I could have been closer to my goals using Pinterest. I realized some of my blogger friends (and the creator of this course) were getting THOUSANDS of site views a month just from Pinterest.

Some bloggers also use Pinterest to grow their e-mail lists, sell products, gain coaching clients, etc. Super helpful!

Note: Instagram is still awesome for your blog/business, but it isn’t the greatest source for bringing traffic to your site.

Why Take a Pinterest Course?

Slaying Social’s Pinterest course is everything you need to know laid out for you in an easy-to-consume format.

Like I said above, Pinterest is an amazing tool for bloggers. I think every blogger should take the easier route to learning and invest in a course.

Who is this course for?

This course is for bloggers who have used Pinterest before but have not tapped into the magic of Pinterest.

I used Pinterest for personal use and I THOUGHT I was using it for my blog as well. Then about 5 minutes through the first module of the course, I realized in fact knew nothing about Pinterest. *ha..ha*

Slaying Social Pinterest course is NOT for people who have never used Pinterest before. You must know Pinterest basics and have been using the platform for a bit.

Note: she does have a different course for absolute beginners called Slaying Pinterest 101.

Results

Just by from giving my Pinterest a makeover, updating my pins, and scheduling my pins on Tailwind: my impressions TRIPLED in less than a week. I finally started getting traffic to my site via pins (for the first time ever). And those were my results without posting to group boards or using Facebook engagement groups.

5 months later:

Now, about 30% of my blog traffic comes from Pinterest. I went from having a few thousand impressions a month on Pinterest to over 500K. (!!!!!!!)

Take a moment to check out how terrible my pins were (HA) *This was from 01/2020*

Is it Worth The Money ($149)?

Short answer: yes. (x10000)

The reason I’m writing this blog post is that I’m hoping to inspire someone who is like me. Someone who wants to learn everything on their own, is a little bit stubborn but has big goals for themselves. My advice is INVEST IN YOUR GROWTH.

One more time: invest in your effing growth. Courses are popular for a reason. They help you leap forward (proof is in my results). Learn from the experts and people you trust.

Again, I wish I invested in courses, masterminds, and coaching a lot earlier. I wish I would have taken this course 2 years ago. But, we live and we learn!

If you are thinking about investing in a Pinterest course (whether it’s Lia’s course or someone elses), do it! Thank me later.

Note: Slaying Social offers a payment plan (which I did)

How Do I Sign Up?

You can find more information and sign up using this link, Slaying Social Pinterest Course.

I also recommend Tailwind to automate your business and post on Pinterest for you at optimal times. I spend 30 min to an hour every week creating new pins and scheduling my pins for the week on Tailwind. Tailwind tribes make it easy to share content with other bloggers who will then share your content with their audience.

Tailwind makes life so much easier and has been a game-changer for me. Click here to receive a free $15 credit for Tailwind Plus!

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or Pinterest advice, comment below and share!
